What is carbide rod

How to make tungsten carbide rod

The task of extrusion is to pour the dried mixture of a certain grade and a certain proportion of molding plasticizer into a double-screw mixer, and repeat the rolling stirring and mixing within a specified time. After 2.5 hours to 3.0 hours of rolling milling, the plasticized mixed billet is made into uniform spheres, and then the material is discharged and the mold is pre-extruded. The round rod blanks of various required specifications are slowly extruded under high pressure. Then use the polishing tool to polish the blank, make it smooth, and finally shape.

3. When purchasing cemented carbide round rods, pay attention to the flatness, symmetry and other geometric tolerances of the inspection plane. The cemented carbide round rods with high geometric tolerance precision can produce higher quality products and much simpler processing.


Application range of cemented carbide rods

Cemented tungsten carbide rods have the characteristics of high red hardness, good weldability, high hardness and high wear resistance. They are mainly used in the manufacture and processing of solid wood, density boards, and gray cast iron. Non-ferrous metal materials, chilled cast iron, hardened steel, PCB, brake materials. Carbide rod of suitable material should be selected according to the application in detail. Cemented tungsten carbide rods have excellent durability, high hardness, good wear resistance, high elastic modulus, high compressive strength, and good chemical stability (acid, alkali, high temperature oxidation resistance).
